How to improve page rank of my website?

 Obviously this might be the second question “How to improve page rank of a website” arising in your mind after creating a website and How to drive traffic? While being the first question. You can drive traffic to your website by means of search engine optimization and by submitting to your website to as many search engines and directories as you can. Where as to achieve Google page rank you need to be little bit patient as Google has automated programs called as spiders which scan the web regularly. As of my experience and reading so many articles on SEO, Link Building I would like to say that it is the only Quality content which is going to give PR to your website. Quality Content? What does it mean? It’s nothing but the content you are going to post in your website.
My experience says that we have to concentrate on fundamental points in achieving page rank, as of my knowledge I would like to share 6 fundamentals which helped me in achieving page rank 4.

Keywords and Meta tags:
Keywords are the major weapon to drive traffic to your website. Choose keywords depending on the way the users search for desired articles in search engines. Write the content in such a way that your content should contain the keywords and phrases of users search. Remember to include the Keywords and phrases which you have included in Meta tags. Well, these Meta tags are the HTML phrases for search engines. Depending on these Meta tags the search engines enlist your websites related to the keyword the user types in search engine. So be sure in choosing the exact Meta tags and keywords related to your content.

 Quality Content:
It is the major strength in achieving a page rank, I guess you would have got me what I want to say, the content of your website must be genuine. It should not be copied from anywhere. It should be interesting so that the user keeps visiting your website regularly for updated information. Try to write as many articles as you can so that the chances of driving traffic to your website are more. The chances of improving Page Rank sooner and getting placed in top 10 search engine results are greater when you have interesting content on your website.

 Internal Linking:
Internal links are used to drive the user to the desired post or in other means to reduce the length of the post. Be sure to organize your site well, so that the users should not find difficulty in navigating your website. Google Spiders don’t like dead ends, in order to overcome the criteria Google suggests you that if any of your pages including the site map which have more than 1000 links should be broken into pages which indirectly satisfy the internal linking criteria.

 Google Webmaster Tools:
I would definitely recommend you to go through the Google web master tools to improve the page rank of a website. It is one of the easiest and helpful tool which you would love it, as all the work is done by this tool itself, you just need submit your website for verification.

 Submitting to directories:
Finally optimizing the content and submitting it major search engines and to as many directories as you can which helps in indexing each and every post and many subpages to each search engine and directories. Even Google recommends submission of articles to directories which in turn helps in driving traffic to your website by improving the page rank.

 External Linking:
Once again content plays a major role here, if you have interesting content people will link to your website externally. To achieve page Rank I recommend linking your websites with greater Page Rank than yours. By this means you can even drive traffic from greater PR Websites this can be done by buying a link from a greater PR websites or by showing your improving traffic to those website owners.

 I can assure that you can achieve page rank if you optimize your website on these guidelines sequentially. Of course these are not the only fundamental points which help you in achieving page rank besides these more innumerable factors include in achieving page rank but I have mentioned those six points which have helped me in achieving a page rank of 4 with in 8 weeks.
So I recommend you to be patient and follow my steps if you find them interesting but keep in mind, the content should be interesting to drive traffic again and again.

How to do keyword research: If you are planning to start a new website then you should be well prepared about your niche keywords. One of my friend named Alan quoted me this question ..

Hey brother i would like to start a new website on my own product. So how should i do keyword research? Do you want me to
target competitive keywords or low traffic keywords?

Well Keyword research is a big deal. Just we have to spent a bit of time on what our competitors are doing, who are they, On which keywords are they targetting. They may not be who you think. If you are at a beginning stage then it is better to choose low traffic keywords then higher competitive keywords like Marketing ideas, SEO etc. You know what i am talking about. These competitive websites have been around forever. They have lots of content and incredible brand penetration so everyone’s about them. They have spent lots of lots money to get quality backlinks.

 Before starting keyword research you just have a look on your competitors content. On what keywords are they focusing, though those keyowrds are important? I mean to say that  when we are concentrating on our website then simultaneously we should spider out what our competitors are doing.

 In this article i will give you complete approach on How to do keyword research. Well there are number of free SEO tools are available on the internet which can make your job much easier. Wordtracker has a free keyword suggestion tool that can make your job much easier in searching keyword competition.

 The first and major step is to create list of potential keywords. Brainstorm all keywords what you think. For example if your website is on SEO then your major keywords are Link building, traffic, Search engine optimization, SEO tips, keyword research, and  many keywords which are related to your content. Just focus on phrases which are relavent to your website. Now save all your keywords in a text document. Your next step is to determine Master keywords . Master keywords are nothing but those keywords which contain higher keyword frequency in your html code or in your content.These master keywords will bring you the most qualified traffic to your site. Right now you are having list of keywords and master keywords in a text document.

 Your next step is to check popular keyword phrases. The best tool is Wordtracker. There are many other tools which are available on the internet you can also use those tools but here i am concentrating about wordtracker. Your job is to gather all those phrases and websites in a text document.

 Right now you are holding with keywords, master keywords of your website which is going to establish, keyword phrases which you  are going to implement, competitor websites and competitor keyword phrases!!! Am i right ?? Now you have to check competitors keyword frequency. How much keyword frequency does he implemented on his website. Using  word counter tool check keyword frequency for each and every website and their keywords .  After checking keyword frequency for each and every website now you decide yourself  How much keyword frequency should it be better for your website. Always maintain keywords frequency nearly 9 to 10%. Dont spam your content by keyword stuffing.

 Hmm….. You made a list of about 10-15 focused keywords. Now you  have to use them in right position such as in  :
Title keywords.
Metatags
H1 tags
Anchor text
headings etc.

 NOTE: Dont think that you are going to top in google after keyword research. Link building  is the major step for ranking step then keyword search. But without proper keywords you cannot rank in search engines.

1)Keyword in Meta tags stuffing : Excessive repetition of keywords on a page or inside html code in an attempt to gain higher ranking position in search engines. If search engines find that your pages has crossed limit of keyword frequency then your website will be placed in spam list. There are many free seo tools available on the web. You should use those tools  to know your keyword frequency on your page.

 2)Well content is the major problem for all of us. I know it is bit difficult to write content. Initially it creates problem while writing content. You will be thinking what to write and what not. Well this problem will be deminishes completely when you start concentrating in anyone of the Niche. I mean to say write what you know, no one is going to punish you but dont ever copy content. Well you can copy small phrases upto extent but not paragraphs and whole posts:D  Or else you just read some ones post and try to execute in your own words. Content is not the last step in SEO. There are many seo tips to optimize your content.

 3)Backlinks: Yes! google has given higher priority for backlinks. Your page rank, traffic, popularity  everything blows up only because of backlinks. There are many ways of getting backlinks. Don’t ever try to step down for Blackhatseo. I do agree that we can make many backlinks using blackhat. But google has taken this method very seriously.You will banned if attempt to get links using blackhatseo. There are many whitehatseo methods to get backlinks. such as submission to directories, SEO forums, blogposts, article directory submission and many methods to get backlinks.

Google’s 2008 algorithm has made very strict. So you have to take care of these steps to prevent your website from spam.
