You may get a popup while checking your mails telling that your computer is infected and you need to clean it NOW. We all know that 90% chances of getting virus into our system without anti-virus protection.

Here are some signs that your computer may be affected: 

•  Your system restarts automatically.
•  Slow Internet connection.
•  A different home page.
•  Sudden termination of programs or sometimes your program crashes. 

If your system is completely infected then you need to clean whole pc. For this you need to download necessary tools.. If you plan to use a USB drive to transfer the downloaded files, make sure both your computer and your friend’s computer have auto run disabled. To deal with this adware, you need to install good anti-adware tool with scans your system from adware or any malicious viruses. First and the best popular solution for your adware is LavaSoft’s Ad-Aware. Just download this software and run in your system. It start running as soon as it installs in your system by reporting all this spyware that’s probably already running on your computer without you knowing. Ad-Aware is what I run on my WinXP computers. You can also use windows Anti-spyware program. This is also a good anti-adware tool which removes adware from your system.

When we compared to desktops, laptops are more susceptible to virus and other malicious codes for number of reasons. For example we people use internet connection for our desktop only from one place. But laptops have more portability and made users to be able to use this just anywhere from the classroom or offices, to coffee shops that provide free Internet access. This creates more virus attacks as we are using unsecured network connection from different locations.

Here i am giving you some effective methods or ways to protect your laptops from virus or any malicious codes. 

1)Always keep your antivirus updated:

I have seen many people fail to update their antivirus softwares. They really don’t know that this is the major problem how virus attacks their laptops. Virus updates protect your computer virus and other forms of mal ware that could easily corrupt the hard drive of the laptop. As you update your antivirus software programs it recognizes virus and other forms of mal ware which are stored in their databases. We can see different tyes of viruses day by day. As more the varieties of viruses developed, simultaneously database of your anti-virus also developed. Because of this reason we have to update our antivirus software regularly. Make a habit of updating your anti-virus software program daily. This will helps to your laptop from virus and mal ware. 

2)Scan your files regularly:

As i said you before laptops are more portable. This portability makes an efficient use between your friends and colleagues to transfer files from USB flash drives. Security decreases as our laptop moves to friends. They will not take care of your laptop as you cares. They just copy the files into your laptop without scanning. Before accessing the files from these storage devices, make sure that you have first scanned those files.

 You can scan your USB by going to your ‘My computer’ and select USB flash drive. Right click on the USB flash drive and click the option ‘Run Scan’. My advice is to scan your USB twice or thrice. I have experienced this problem. Still you can find virus in your USB even after scanning completely. Because of this reason you have to scan twice or thrice. It is better to scan with two or 3 anti virus softwares.  

 3)Delete unnecessary and unused files from your system.

 4)Always run your Anti-virus software regularly.

How to open STB,HQX,SFV files??

How to open STB,HQX,SFV files??Are you unable to open files like STB, HQX and SFV?? If yes then checkout this post. 2months back I too faced with this problem. Really my windows were unable to open STB files, HQX files and SFV files. I spent lot of time in searching best registry to open those files. Some times your operating system will not support to open those files due to insufficient programs installed in your system. These kind of problems are mainly occurs due to virus attacks or any malicious codes running in system. Malicious codes delete those software programs which are required to open STB files.  If you are in this situation then don’t format your system for small cause like me :d . I had formatted my system only because of small reason. I don’t want you to make this mistake. First of all you have to remove the virus which is attacking those software programs. For example if you failed to open HQX files then scan your system with registry scanners. The main purpose of  .HQX file extension is that  it identifies Macintosh binary files encoded into ASCII files and which contain only printable characters. This is very useful when transferring files between different platforms since all systems can handle ASCII files and so helps to avoid corruption of the file. Scan your system to prevent and identify association errors. Similarly you can also solve problems with SFV file extension.
