forums.digitalpoint (dp) drops by one position for the kw “dp” have u observed??
Yes dp dropped by one position for the keyword “dp” in google.com or google.in ….
I am from India. I am such a lazy guy that i never tried to write whole url in browser to open digital point. I just type this “dp” keyword in google.in or google.com to open forums.digitalpoint.com. My expected website forums.digitalpoint.com always comes in first position in google for the keyword dp.
I was shocked that dp drops by one position for the keyword “dp”.
This is the first time i am seeing dp in 2nd position.
My question is Why dp dropped by 1 position??
Few of my thoughts are:
1) From this i can say google algorithm always gives first preference to combined keywords in domain name.
2)Does google gives position for fresh pages? That is in top 10 pages. “This is G o o g l e’s cache of http://www.dpreview.com/ as retrieved on 8 Jun 2008 14:41:10 GMT.” This information is taken from google cache. Do you agree that google gives position for fresh pages (fresh content)?? If yes please reply me.
3) I have observed google is giving 1st preference to those websites which is having more number of similar pages. Total number of similar pages for this website (http://www.dpreview.com/) is 29. Which is highest in top 10 pages. I am comparing only with those websites who are having keyword “dp” in domain name for top 10 pages.
4)Now open page source for www.dpreview.com (ctrl+u) . I have observerd that google is giving good priority for keyword frequency. the word “dp” is repeated total 116 times which is highest when compared to top 10 sites in google 1st page for the keyword “dp”.
5)Traffic does not play any role for positioning. Why because when compared to digitalpoint traffic dpreview traffic is nothing. do you agree??
These are the main reasons i have found why dp drops by one position in google search for the keyword “dp”. From this i can conclude that we can bring any page in top position by propor On- page optimization.

Before I explain what some of these free advertising techniques are I want to make it clear that they cannot replace the power of paid for advertising. Because paid advertising will bring you bulk amount of traffic and it can be controlled.
I the below i mentioned 6 major Free advertising ideas. And i hope these six major free advertising ideas are enough to drive traffic.
1)My best free advertising idea is Request blogpost. That is, you have to work on destination site .You can supply information to these sites in return for listing you as a source of that information.After working we can have that riped fruit. In my sense this is the best free advertising idea. Blogpost leads to great advantage. First you have to search for websites who is getting great traffic, high pr and mainly Relavent content. Websites with different niche will not accept blogpost. These distination sites are the sites which contain huge amount of content.Those sites covers whole niche. Our job is to request a blogpost in those sites. At the bottom of the post we have to mention your name and your website link.
2)Another free advertising idea is to post on Web forums. Try to gather as many forums as you can. only on your relavent niche. Start posting nice questions and answers with your website link in those forums. Below your link provide whole information How much you covered your niche. And what can you do? If you are able to clearly convey your expertise you will have potential customers contacting you to find more about your products and services.
3)Try to post good questions in answers.yahoo.com with your website link . Why i am saying you this website is because, google algorithm always gives first preference for old and popular domains. For example try to post a question on Free advertising ideas in answers.yahoo.com. I can surely say that questions will appears in google first 2 pages. Even though you are not keeping any content in that website still it maintains position in google 1st 2 pages. This is the power of domain.
4)Try to submit your website in all major search engine directories.
5)Try to publish your free articles in major article directories. This free advertising idea leads to great traffic.
6)Try to publish articles in news papers. This is absolutely free advertising idea.

Right!!!!Google always checks post title keywords. Just see the figure below. Whatever you searched in google it is highlighted. Keywords are How to become, SEO expert are highlighted. From this we can conclude almost 90% of keywords should come in Post title. Next remaining 2 lines goes to site description or first 1/4 of content. From this we can conclude that maximum keywords should present in site title description or first 1/4 of content (post) .
3) This is very important step: Check backlinks for individual posts. You are searching backlinks for 1st 3 websites for choosen keywords “how to become an SEO expert?” . If any website who is bringing link from higher pr with RELAVENT CONTENT then he will rank 1st. Google always gives priority for good quality of backlinks. Well this is very simple process ..Try to post in forum websites. I have seen this question ” How to become an seo expert” in many forums. Try to post your article with your website link in those forums. This is the direct way of getting your post position in google top 10.4) Most webmasters says, google checks keywords in domain name. Well this is also tested. google is cecking number of keywords in domain name. Depending upon those keywords ranking is decided.5) age of post??? Yes.. google checks age of post. But this is not the serious issue. We can bring new post with same title keywords just above the old post. That is we can rank better than old post with same title keywords. But this factor is the least preferred. Many people are trying to optimize their website for search engines. submitting their websites to article directories to get good backlinks. They just think about backlink. They dont even think whether this link redirects to their home page or any internal page of their website. They dont know what is the importance of internal link power.
It is true major search engines such as google, yahoo, msn etc gives lot of importance for internal links. Most notably google, gives lot of importance to internal link power. When google spiders crawl any website they enter in to Anchor text link. Those spiders enters in to the website which is internally linked. If that website contains similar content then there may be chances for getting higher pagerank for that link when compared to home page. Just observe the below picture you will get whole information about Internal link power . Every link to a single
page on your website should contain targeted keywords which explain what is on that page, and to which you are trying to market.
After selecting the Niche you need to choose targeted keywords. Refer this article How to choose keywords inside the post??. Depending upon the keywords you have to give anchor text links to similar pages.
Actual Power of keyword
Keywords play a major role in Search engine Optimization. Let us take an example. You have build an website on Search engine Optimization. You will choose site title depending on your website which contains a rich keywords. Now you are having a sub page and that title is “Internal link power”. You are going to link your sub page to your home page. If you choose keyword ” link power” instead of “internal link power ” in the navigation bar,then your are losing much traffic from search engines and and will stand a better chance of appearing in SERPs for those keywords. Search engines likes deep search. Always be specific in your keywords.
Not only from home page try to bring link from related topics.For example you have done post on How to build links?? then in the middle of the post try to place anchor text link for Internal link power. These links should also contain appropriate keywords, which will further increase the effectiveness of your internal links.
Actual Link power
Dont bluff number of links in your home page. It looks very dirty. Visitors hate number of links in home page. And dont give links for large sentences. Always give link for short and brief sentences. In your home page different links are given different priority. Try to place limited links, in those links you can place sublinks. For example consider my sitemap, Except my home page and about me page all other links are given 20% priority. For home page and about me it is given 60% priority. Your home page is usually the page which is linked to the most, and therefore probably has the highest authority as i said before about my sitemap, or in Google’s terms PageRank, than any other page on your website. Every page that it links to will gain from the power of that link.
Checkout this calculation. I am not sure about this calculation. Why because every year google algorithm changes. If your home page having pagerank 7 and you are linking 50 pages to your home page. then each page you are linking to is only going to get a fraction of your home page’s authority. That is each page is getting (7/10 == 0.7) . From this calculation we can understand Sub page authority increses as the number of sub pages decreses which are linking to home page. So always maintain specific number of links in home page. Always maintain balance between home page and sub pages. If you are having more number of sub pages then create a sub page and give all links in that page. This is how we can balance links between home page and sub pages. If you dont want to index few links then Use the “rel=nofollow” attribute on unimportant links. The nofollow attribute on a link tells Google, yahoo, msn and major search engines to follow the link, but not to pass authority, or PageRank, through that link. This is how we can ignore Unimportant links.
Now you understood what is the power of Internal link.Now start building internal links.
