In the latest trend wireless companies has released a series of hardware connectivity products such as PC card and CompactFlash wireless modems designed to connect a Pocket PC to the Internet over wide area wireless networks. If you want to connect your Pocket PC to the Internet using Sprint, or any wireless provider today, all you need is the right mobile phone. Following steps will clearly explains your How to connect Pocket PC to the Internet Using a Mobile Phone.

Step 1: Check up Your Setup
Firstly your pocket computer should be Bluetooth-enabled. You need a checkup before connecting your pocket PC to the internet using mobile phone.Mostly all pocket PC’s released after 2005 are having embedded Bluetooth.you all need a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone that supports Dial-Up Networking, or DUN, over Bluetooth. If your Pocket PC and mobile phone each have onboard Bluetooth, and your mobile phone supports DUN over Bluetooth, then you can proceed further.

Step 2: Establish a Connection
Before connecting your pocket pc to the internet using mobile phone you should turned on your mobile phone’s and Pocket computer bluetooth. When mobile phone’s bluetooth is active and discoverable, its time to begin setting up your Pocket PC’s Bluetooth software.Now you have to power on your PC’s bluetooth .This can be done by following : Start > Settings > Connections (Tab) > Bluetooth. In the Devices sub menu, tap New Partnership. Allow the Pocket PC to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.

When both the bluetooth’s are in enabled state,your pocket PC detects your mobile phone, tap the phone’s ID, then tap next:

Now you have to enter passkey. Make sure what you have typed in your mobile that passkey should be entered in your pocket PC to complete the process. After entering the key a screen will be displayed as shown below. A list of services offered by the paired bluetooth device in the case of your mobile phone. The screen shown below is for Samsung A900 offering Dial-Up Networking over Bluetooth.

Now check the box which appears next to the Dialup Networking service and tap Finish. A new partnership between your Pocket PC and mobile phone has now been created. Now your job is to set up Partnership between your Pocket PC and mobile phone. Instructions for using partnership : tap Start > Settings > Connections (Tab) > Connections. From this menu, you can create a new connection profile.
Now add a new modem connection. Name your connection and specify bluetooth.

Now the software will ask you to which bluetooth device you would like to connect with for new modem connection. In the above step you added new mobile phone. that should be on the list and highlight the phone and tap next as shown below:

Now you must provide the software with an ISP dial-up number.Or you may also provide dailup string for wireless phones. A dialing string is a which instructs your mobile phone to connect to your wireless provider’s data network rather than dialing an actual ISP number. Sprint Wireless, our provider, uses the code #777, but your provider may have a different dialing string. Enter the number or dialing string and tap Next.

Now enter username and password. Actually username and password is not required for all service providers. If it is required then you have to enter for validation purpose.Now Click Finish. A new connection profile has now been created and can be used to connect to the Internet for e-mail, web browsing, and for many purposes.
The above procedure which is shown above which works 100% without any fail. It can easily connect Pocket PC to the Internet Using a Mobile Phone.
Note: Each mobile phone have different settings and various other connection requirements. So you have to be very careful before taking any step.
