How to create ISO image file?
An ISO image file is nothing but disk image of an optical disc. ISO image files typically have a file extension of .ISO but Mac OS X ISO images often have the extension “.CDR”. We are creating Image files only for backup process in case we lost our dvd’s or cds. Right click on the image file and select Mount to run.Few softwares are available in the internet which create ISO image file ready made. Those are : Magic ISO , Folder2ISO and LC ISO Creator.
Folder2ISO: Folder2Iso creates an iso from any kind of folder may be subfolder. Folder2ISO is an GUI of mkisofs. There is no need for installation because it is really small size which is in .exe format.Folder2ISO is used to burn a folder to CD or DVD.First it creates folder in to ISO image file. With that image file we can convert in to CD or DVD. Creating ISO image useful when you have used a program like DVDDecrypter to extract the contents of the DVD onto your computer.
